Dance and Music are the most eloquent expressions of civilization and culture. They are living symbols of spiritual awakening of the human soul and its longing for for enlightenment. Kalai Kaveri attributes a rare utility to the Indian art forms of Music and Dance as means of communications, exploiting the treasures of their resourcefulness and creativity. It is also her aim to share the divinity and innovation of these Indian arts and the various countries in the light of cultural exchange. |

With such a unique and universal mission, the Dance Troupe was instituted in December 1978 and fosters and promotes the cultural arts of Indian heritage, reaching out to the people as Ambassadors of Love, Messengers of Peace and Courier of Culture. The former Secretary to the Government of India for Culture and Human Development, Shri.J.Veeraragavan said,” the rich cultural and artistic presentation of Kalai Kaviri's Dance Programme with meaningful message re-iterates the need for UNESCO to include Music and Dance also in the world heritage”, when the Troupe performed in the capital of India. |

Various Indian classical and folk dances –Bharathanatyam, Kathak, Mohiniyattam, Odyssy, Kuchupudi, Karagam, Gypsy, Kummi, Oylattam, Kolattam, Thappu Attam, Themmangu Attam, Peacock& Snake, Bangra, Dance-Drama, Dummy Horse etc., presented by the Troupe on the same is a unifying force of the diverse cultures of this scared land. |
